Katie's Sweat Shop is conveniently located in downtown Mooresville at 156 N. Broad St. and offers personal training as well as small-group fitness classes. Classes include yoga, Zumba, cardio, and strength.
Katie's Sweat Shop offers Certified Personal Training and Menopause Fitness Specialization. Consultations are FREE so contact Katie today to schedule one.
Privately owned and operated there are no joining or membership fees. Smaller class sizes allow for regular participants to offer support and build friendships. It also means that it will notice when you're not in class and we will reach out to you. This doesn't happen at those larger gyms!
The first class is FREE which means there is nothing to lose but much to be gained. All fitness levels are welcome to all classes. Equipment is provided but feels free to bring your own if you prefer. Class schedules and descriptions can be found on the group fitness page. Walk-ins are welcome but pre-registration is encouraged and will ensure you have a spot since space is limited. ​

Mikhaela Ackerman
Yoga Instructor
Meet Mikhaela Ackerman, yoga instructor at Katie's Sweatshop. Mikhaela began practicing yoga during college and law school. After graduating, Mikhaela reconnected with yoga at a studio that opened nearby her home where she not only found how powerful yoga could be in her daily life, but also made lasting friendships. It was during this time that she earned her RYT 200 certification in 2018. Mikhaela is passionate about making yoga accessible for all types of people. Since becoming a yoga teacher she has taught classes focused on accessibility for neurodiverse children and adults, conducted sensory friendly corporate wellness yoga seminars, and taught all levels adult classes.
In addition to yoga, Mikhaela enjoys performing aerial arts and traveling.
